Member of the Financial Planning Association

I am a managing partner of Benedict Financial and a member of the firm’s investment committee.  Within the firm, I focus on the application of independent research within clients’ portfolios.  I also create retirement income and estate plans to help protect clients against the risks that face them in retirement, while helping create a smooth transition to the next generation(s).  I enjoy the ability to apply the independent research we select to our long-term investment strategies.

I am native to the Atlanta area and currently live in Sandy Springs with my wife, Sharon, and two daughters, Megan and Kate. I attended Berry College on a Presidential Merit Scholarship. While at Berry I received a B.S. degree in Business from the Campbell School of Business and was awarded the Earl Roberson scholarship for outstanding achievement in Economics. My post graduate studies for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation were completed at Oglethorpe University.

My financial journey started at a young age.  I invested in my first equity at age 17 and have been hooked ever since.  Breaking into the financial industry was harder than I expected without taking a position with one of the large sales-oriented banks or other financial institutions.  A friend referred me to Benedict Financial Advisors, Inc and Phil offered me a chance to join the team.  It has proved an ideal opportunity to grow within a registered investment advisory firm and Phil has proved to be a wonderful mentor over the years.  I believe we have structured our firm so that our interests align directly with the interests of our clients.  Outside of the office I enjoy golfing, traveling, exercising, hiking, and spending time with my family.  Raising two daughters is quite an adventure.
